The Department of Culture has approximately 800 employees who mainly work in libraries, cultural houses, museums, and other cultural activities.

About the position

The Department of Culture is responsible for a wide range of activities within the city's cultural life. To ensure secure, accessible, and well-functioning information management, we are now looking for a registrar who wants to contribute to structured and professional archive and registration work. The position is located in the support unit and gives you the opportunity to work closely with the entire department in matters that are important for the quality and legal security of the operations.

In the role of registrar, you work across the administration and have a central function in the daily registration work. You collaborate closely with case handlers, managers, board secretaries, and other support functions, and are part of a close collaboration with the department's chief registrar, archivist, and board secretary.

The tasks include ongoing archive and registration work according to legislation, policy documents, and established routines. You are responsible for, among other things, registering documents, daily registry maintenance in the department's diary, as well as inventory and organization of archives. You also handle requests for public documents and provide administrative support in the board and case process. If necessary, you support the unit with other administrative tasks. The role also includes training and guiding employees in matters concerning registration and case management, both individually and in groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant university education of at least 180 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits in archival science
  • Experience of working as a registrar in the public sector
  • Experience of handling requests for public documents
  • Experience of working in digital diary and case management systems
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience of planning and conducting training initiatives
  • Previous experience of working within the City of Gothenburg
  • Experience of working in Ciceron
